Scope

This document specifies the classifications, requirements and test methods for unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-U) profiles covered with foils designed for external uses bonded with adhesives which are intended to be used for the fabrication of windows and doors.

Purpose

To ensure consistency throughout the series of standards, the requirements will be replaced with references to identical requirements in the newly published EN 12608-1:2026. Furthermore, the restriction that lamination directly on PVC-recyclate is not possible will be deleted.
