Scope

This Technical Report consists of clarifications and additional examples of selected topics pertaining to the planning and selection of passenger lifts as covered by the ISO 8100-32:2020 standard as well as gives further explanations and background information why specific items are out of the scope of the standard. This document also responds to feedback received from the market.

Purpose

This Technical Report is intended to clarify the requirements of the ISO 8100-32:2020 standard to its users and reduce the effort needed from the user to start applying the standard. The TR will concisely summarize technical topics related to the use of this standard. The TR may direct readers to other guidelines and textbooks for further information.
