Scope

This document describes a test method for the determination of snagging resistance of a fabric using pins fitted in a rotating chamber.

Purpose

The purpose is to adopt a New Work Item under the Vienna Agreement with ISO lead for ISO/CD 250862 Textiles — Determination of the snagging resistance of fabrics — Part 2: Rotating chamber test method using pins.

This project is based on BS 8479 (from BSI, CEN member).

This test method is cited tin projects managed by CEN TC248 WG39 related to the durability of textile articles.

This test method is complementary to EN ISO 250861.
