Standards Development
This standard specifies the terms, definitions and classification of special-purpose vehicles. It is applicable to special-purpose vehicles that operate on roads. It’s not applicable to vehicles used in specific areas, such as special vehicles for civil airports.
There are over 100 types of special-purpose vehicles. In different countries, the same product names may vary. By establishing a unified international standard, with unified terms, definitions and classification standards, can promote international trade, facilitate global exchanges and cooperation, and drive the development and innovation of special-purpose vehicles.
