This technical specification provides a method for the determination of the impact energy of percussion hammers and rotary hammers, for which a single impact energy value is declared.
This document may be applied as supplementary material to support certifications for products certified to IEC 62841-1:2014, IEC 62841-1:2014/AMD1:2025 and IEC 62841-2-6:2020.
The purpose of this technical specification is to establish an internationally available method for determining the impact energy of rotary hammers and chiseling hammers. Use of a harmonized measurement method ensures that impact energy values are determined consistently and are comparable for users
