This document specifies the terms and definitions, principle, apparatus, test piece, procedure, calculation of results and test report for the method of testing the alkali resistance of refractory products.
This document applies to the determination of alkali resistance of refractory products.
Alkali erosion is the main cause of damage to important parts of high-temperature equipment such as blast furnaces, cement rotary kilns, and ladles, which determines the service life of these hightemperature equipment. This project proposes three testing methods for alkali resistance of different refractory materials.
By simulating the actual operating conditions of different industrial kilns, the alkali resistance of refractory materials is scientifically evaluated, providing a unified and reliable testing basis for the research and development, quality control, and industrial application of refractory materials.
This project solves the practical problem of inconsistent alkali resistance test standards and incomparable test results in various countries. By establishing a unified and authoritative benchmark, it promotes the safe, efficient, and sustainable development of the global high-temperature industry, and provides the only reliable reference for the production, trade, and selection of refractory materials worldwide.
The internationalization process of this standard will ultimately provide a globally recognized and trustworthy testing method for manufacturers, end-users, and researchers, in line with the inherent needs of the coordinated development of the global industrial chain
