The scope of this document is to specify Product Category Rules (c-PCRs) for creating Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for commercial refrigeration equipment assessing their life-cycle environmental impact.
The proposal is based on a work done within a product group of manufacturer of Refrigerated Display Cabinet that produced an Eurovent Recommendation with the title : “Eurovent Recommendation on complementary Product Category Rules for commercial refrigeration equipment“. Currently, there is no European or international cPCR standard specifically made for that category of products. Thus, this proposal aims to cater to the existing need in this field addressing the whole life cycle of commercial refrigeration equipment.
