This document specifies requirements for the technical compatibility between pantographs and overhead contact lines, to achieve free access to the lines of the European railway network. NOTE These requirements are defined for a limited number of pantograph types conforming to the requirements in 5.3, together with the geometry and characteristics of compatible overhead contact lines.
Necessary revision according: - French proposal to change A.3 - Discussion „current at standstill“ – new experiences (AT, DE) - EC Mandat especially: (see Annex of DA): • Standard listed in point 170 of Table 2 of Annex I • “The standard shall describe the technical requirements to ensure that essential requirements established in points 1.4.1, 1.5,2.2.2, 2.2.3 of Annex III to Directive (EU) 2016/797 are complied with. • The standard shall define harmonized parameters and their corresponding assessment methods for the design of the OCL and the pantograph distribution in case of multiple pantograph operation (more than 2). • The standard shall consider the results of the task force from the European Union Agency for Railways TF169-170 and the further studies from the members. • As the standard is directly referenced in both Commission Regulation (EU) 1302/2014 and Commission Regulation (EU) 1301/2014 for the standard pertinent clauses, its Annex ZZ shall be deleted.”
