Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, model preparation methods, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of torque impact drilling acceleration tools for oil and gas fields.

Purpose

As the exploration and development of oil and gas resources continue to advance to deep strata, the problems of rock hardness, abrasiveness, poor drillability and obvious stick-slip phenomenon become more and more prominent, and conventional drilling methods are difficult to meet the needs of efficient drilling. Torsional impact drilling tool has become the key tool to solve these problems and improve drilling speed, which is an important embodiment of drilling engineering technology progress. Its combination with other drilling technologies and tools, such as the use of PDC bits, continues to promote the development of drilling technology in the direction of efficiency, quality and low cost. Torque impact drilling tools are widely used in the market, in major oil fields in China, such as Daqing and Shengli oil fields, for conventional and complex formation drilling, significantly improving the mechanical drilling rate and extending the bit life. Internationally, oil producing regions such as the Middle East and North America have strong demand. The Middle East region is rich in reservoirs but complex in formation, and its efficient rock breaking ability meets the local production needs. In the shale gas development in North America, the construction of extended reach Wells and horizontal Wells is highly dependent on the functions of tool torsion reduction and direction control. With the expansion of global oil and gas exploration and development to deep sea and deep depth, the increase of complex working conditions, the performance requirements of torque impact drilling tools are constantly improving, and the international market demand continues to grow. However, at present, whether it is the ISO international standard or the API standard widely recognized by the foreign oil industry, there is no unified standard for torsion impact drilling tools, which brings a lot of inconvenience to the design, manufacturing, inspection and use of products, and is not conducive to international trade and technical exchange, so it is necessary to formulate an international standard for torsion impact drilling tools in the oil and gas industry. Establish a relatively complete design, manufacturing, inspection, quality control system. The key technical parameters of the product have also been confirmed. This standard can be used to guide the design, manufacture, inspection, quality control and acceptance of torque impact drilling tools for the oil and gas industry.
