Scope

This part of BS 1722 specifies requirements for the design, installation and maintenance of electric fencing in agriculture, equine and wildlife-specific contexts.

It is applicable to permanent, portable or temporary electric fencing, installed in normal ground conditions, where the fence is to provide a physical or psychological barrier for inclusion or exclusion of animals.

NOTE Product specifics are covered in the manufacturer’s installation manuals that are available to installers.
