This European Standard is applicable to Dolomitic lime used for treatment of water intended for human consumption. It describes the characteristics of magnesium oxide and specifies the requirements and the corresponding test methods for Dolomitic lime. It gives information on its use in water treatment.
Amendment of NOTES, in 4.4 the NOTE to Table 3 must be adjusted.
In 3.1.4 the unit g/mol must be deleted (figure relative, without any unit).
In 3.3.1 b) coarse as grading must be deleted.
Inserting a new subclause ‘A.2 Impact of commercial products on drinking water quality’ with a new’ Table A.1. Maximum impact of Dolomitic lime, Type 1, on chemical parameter contents of water. Drinking water limit value based on Drinking Water Directive.’ In A.3.3 the term consumer must be substituted with user.
In Bibliography replacing the previous Drinking Water Directive of 1998 with the new one of 2020.
Annex B must be deleted, and the text incorporated into Annex A.
The standard needs technical, legislative and editorial updating.
