Scope

This standard specifies a test method for the determination of tobacco-specific nitrosamines of nicotine pouches.

Purpose

With the emerging development and commercialization of nicotine pouches in the worldwide marketplace, there is an urgent need for the standardization of test methods including tobacco-specific nitrosamine content. This proposed standard would support product safety, product quality and regulatory purposes.
