Scope

This document specifies a smart inspection method for measurement the horizontal light arc angles of navigation lights (masthead lights/side lights/stern lights), and is applicable to ships equipped with navigation lights.

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to specify the basic requirements for smart inspection methods of navigation light installation and to provide procedures for the evaluation and correction of inspection data. It covers operational and environmental requirements, installation requirements for positioning devices, coordinate system establishment methods, inspection path planning methods, and cut-off angle calculation and evaluation methods. The aim is to enhance the efficiency, safety, and reliability of navigation light installation inspection through intelligent means.
