This part of IEC 61558 deals with the safety of safety isolating transformers for general applications and power supply units incorporating safety isolating transformers for general applications.
Having in mind that EN IEC 61558-2-6:2025 is not harmonized/listed under the LVD (Low Voltage Directive) 2014/35/EU according to missing Annex ZZ/ZA this Amendment A11 will cover the gap. The issue of this purely European Amendment is to provide a sufficient Annex ZA/ZZ to achieve the positive assessment from the HAS consultant for the listing under the LVD according the SReq given to the CENELEC to provide manufacturers the possibility of conformity presumption according to the LVD.
