Scope

This document specifies the requirements for safeguards against excessive pressure in shell boilers as defined in FprEN 12953- 1:2025.

Purpose

EN 12953-8:2001+AC:2002 needs to be globally revised to be in line with the new PED Directive 2014/68/EU and for taking into account the evolution of the State of the Art in the field of shell boilers.
