Standards Development
Standard specifies the conditions of use, ratings, design and construction, and testing requirements for DC rigid gas- insulated transmission lines (GIL) for rated voltages above 100kV, where the insulation is at least partly provided by a non- corrosive insulating gas different from air at atmospheric pressure.
Standardization efforts for DC series products, including key equipment like DC GIS, have been initiated. However, the development of standards for DC GIL lags behind and will be closed with this work.
