Scope

This document specifies a test method for the determination of total amount of organic halogens (including organic fluorine, organic chlorine, organic bromine) in leather by combustion followed by ion chromatography

Purpose

California legislation imposed thresholds for total organic fluorine. Leather is in the scope We have to provide a standard to perform total organic fluorine analysis in leather for our customers.
