Scope

This part of IEC 61557-12 specifies requirements for power metering and monitoring devices for DC applications (PMD-DC) that measure and monitor the electrical quantities within DC distribution systems and optionally other external signals.

Purpose

To cover emerging applications in DC systems, the comittee has decided to develop a part IEC 61557 -12-1 that will cover measurement and monitoring of parameters related to DC distribution systems.
