This document applies to rope adjustment devices intended for use in rope access systems. It specifies the requirements, test methods, marking and manufacturer’s instructions and information.
A few corrections and improvements need to be incorporated into the standard:
- Modification of the requirement and test method for the descent velocity and panic locking for Type C rope adjustment devices
- Amendment of the conditionings for the requirements on the hands-free locking element and the temperature rise
- Incorporation of the RfU-sheet 11.158 - Update relating to the “rope access system” definition
