Scope

This document specifies the requirements and test methods for the insert in fairlead This document is applicable to the design, fabrication and installation of ISO 13713, ISO 13728 and ISO 13729 for the insert in fairlead on seagoing vessels and offshore platforms. Other types of cable holes can be used as reference.

Purpose

The international standard for insert in fairlead will focus on the environmental and safety issues required by international maritime regulations, fully considering environmental and safety factors. By guiding relevant users through standards in design, manufacturing, installation, etc., environmental pollution and safety accidents during ship docking and operation can be reduced. This standard is in line with the requirements of maritime environmental protection and safety related conventions, and helps promote the sustainable development of the global maritime industry.
