Scope

This document specifies the safety requirements applicable to all installations.

In particular, the aim of the work item is to improve fire safety on cableways, particularly with regard to practices and feedback following implementation of the standard EN 17064:2018

Purpose

The purpose of this NWIP is to initiate the revision of EN 17064:2018 in accordance with CEN/TC242 Decision No 1/2025. The revision of the standard shall therefore:

- take into account the comments made during the systematic survey

- Update Annex ZA in accordance with the Commission’s standardization request M/597

- Include the dated references of the standards cited
