Scope

This standard provides performance and quality test methods for membrane electrode assembly applied to PEFC.

This standard applies to MEAs for PEFC, as a product, as well as for research and development purpose.

For this purpose, the following test methods for MEA under PEFC working conditions and specified endurance evaluation conditions are considered within the scope of this document.

The MEAs may be final products or components of final products. These products require evaluation according to appropriate end-product quality requirements.

Purpose

As one of the terminals of hydrogen energy consumption, fuel cell power generation system is an important carrier to promote the development of global hydrogen energy and the low-carbon transformation of energy. At present, proton exchange membrane fuel cells have a wide range of application scenarios, and can be used in stationary, transportation, portable and micro power supplies. MEA is the core part of a fuel cell, the market of MEAs is growing rapidly, and the formulation of relevant standards is the basic and important part of fuel cell standards.
