This document specifies a test method for measuring the luminance of textiles and textile products with active lighting, with a focus on garments. This method is also applicable to wearable accessories.
Excluded: are shoes, assessment of safety, specific use cases or the evaluation of the necessary light.
This document supports PWI 00162478 Warning clothing with active lighting in addition to EN ISO 20471 and EN 17353 – Equipment for active luminous warning clothing – Test methods and requirements from CEN TC162 WG7.
The test method from this new project will be implemented in the assessment method being developed in PWI 00162478.
