Scope

This document specifies the requirements of manufacturing resources and manufacturing capabilities as services. By encapsulating manufacturing resources and capabilities into services and providing them to users in the form of network, the centralized management of decentralized resources and the decentralized services of centralized resources are realized, and the effective integration and cooperation of resources and services are ensured. The service-oriented object applies to all types of manufacturing resources, including software tools, hardware equipment, data sets, etc., covering all stages of the product life cycle, including but not limited to manufacturing resources and manufacturing capabilities in design, simulation, production, testing, operation and maintenance stages.

This document provides the process and technical requirements for the transformation of manufacturing resources and manufacturing capabilities into services, aiming to better guide the implementation of the digitalization and service of manufacturing resources and capabilities.

Purpose

The emergence of a new generation of information technology and industry 4.0, digital technology stimulates manufacturing innovation and invigorates innovation, more flexible new manufacturing models emerge, and manufacturing as a service is leading the new trend of global manufacturing development. In the new model, users can request manufacturing services to the cloud on demand, resources are centrally managed by the platform, and user requirements are transformed into tasks to be assigned and scheduled, which makes the acquisition of manufacturing resources and manufacturing capabilities very flexible, fast response time, and the platform provides services for users in a dynamic and scalable way. The service of manufacturing resources and manufacturing capabilities is the basis for the realization of new models such as manufacturing as a service. Taking the platform as the core, it realizes the full sharing of enterprise resources, the high degree of coordination of intelligent manufacturing capabilities, and the business coordination of all links of the industrial chain. Through the improvement of technology innovation and service mode, it provides strong support for the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry, and shows the important role and broad prospects of the service of manufacturing resources and manufacturing capabilities in modern industrial production.
