The standard considers automatic electrostatic application systems for processing non-ignitable liquid coating materials, whose maximum conductivity is defined by the manufacturer. The standard considers the protection of persons against electric shock.
At the past CLC/TC204 Meeting (Report TC204/Sec/0215/RM) the decision for the revision of EN50348:2010 has been taken by 5 CLC Member States (CH, AT, NOR, FR, DE) to harmonize this standard to Machinery regulation – REGULATION (EU) 2023/1230 adapt this standard to the state of the art, adapt this standard to EN50176:2025 (CLC SC-31-8), which defines requirements for automatic electrostatic application systems for ignitable liquid coating materials update references used in the standard.
