Scope

This document supplements the information on “Measuring rebound effect of a bouncing facility” contained in EN 1176-1 and shares good practice for the implementation of the requirements in EN 1176-1. This document provides an alternative to the test method described in in EN 1176-1 that can provide better insight to the performance of the bouncing facility.

Purpose

The 2017 revision of EN1176 part 1 introduced a method of test for bouncing facilities. Experience has shown that whilst the test works the results can be crude and difficult to interpret accurately. This TS will provide an alternative supplemental test that may benefit test houses and specifiers of this type of equipment.
