Scope

This part of IEC 62257 62257 provides a comprehensive guide for the procurement of equipment and
services for off-grid rural electrification systems.

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to set out the general principles, advice, and guidelines for running a successful procurement process.

This document covers the entire procurement process, including elaboration of Employer’s Requirements, creating Request for Proposal (RfP) documents, administration of the tender process, selecting the most suitable solution for the project, and negotiating contracts with suppliers.
