Scope

This document defines terms of prevention of disease occurrence and prevention of pre-diseased condition, which is applicable to undiseased people to prevent disease.

Purpose

The terms of health promotion in TCM are the most core and essential part of the knowledge system of health promotion in TCM, which condense the philosophical thought, mode of thinking, humanistic spirit, scientific spirit and value concept of traditional Chinese medicine. They are the key to understand the theories, principles and treatment methods of health promotion in TCM. On the basis of the basic theory of health promotion in TCM, this project constructs the conceptual system of "health promotion terminology of TCM" according to the basic principles and basic methods of TCM. It also establishes the basic concepts, principles and methods of " health promotion" in traditional Chinese medicine, forming the standardization of the terminology of "health promotion" in TCM by being in line with international standards. The aim is to meet the current needs of modernization and international development of TCM, and bring economic benefits to the rapid development of TCM industry. Terminology for health promotion in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a medical concept of cherishing life and promoting health based on the outstanding traditional Chinese culture of being alert to potential risks in times of peace and taking preventive measures. The basic principle of health promotion in TCM is to promote health, prevent and control diseases. Under the guidance of TCM theory, prevention of disease occurrence, prevention of pre-diseased condition, prevention of disease development and prevention of disease relapse are the basic contents of health promotion in TCM. This proposal includes prevention of disease occurrence and prevention of pre-diseased condition.
