Scope

This document specifies general principles of term categorization in the standard of terminology related to concrete and concrete structures. This document includes the part constitution and content in the standard.

Purpose

Recently, various concrete technologies and concepts have been developed, which create new words, expression, test methods and others. The terminology has been defined to use the specific words or expression terms for a particular subject in each country standards and guidelines individually. However, there are no international standards to comprehensively define and cover terminology related to concrete fields. An international standard is therefore necessary to avoid ambiguities, omissions, and errors. The proposed document provides a terminology to appropriately define the terms related to concrete and concrete structures
