Find out what cookies we use and how to disable themThis document gives guidelines for usability of monitoring and warning systems which installed in hospitals, nursing homes, and homes for the elderly, and carried when going out, for person who is watched over and caregiver.
Note: This monitoring and warning systems does not include equipment used for diagnosing, preventing, or treating diseases in the medical field.
Backgrounds of standardization are many elderly people are living in welfare facilities or living alone, and caregiver like nursing staffs are also limited, and a monitoring and warning system using ICT is required. All over the world, more than 100 companies are developing and selling monitoring and warning systems. We believe that there is a need for international standardization in order to ensure the safety of the elderly and improve the efficiency of caregivers.
