PNW 48B-3126 ED1 Connectors for electrical and electronic equipment - Product requirements - Part 8-XXX: Power connectors - Detail specification for 2P+PE CBC power connectors with 400V DC rated voltage and 20 A rated current

Scope

This specification specifies the interface dimensions, technical parameters, performance requirements, and test methods for 2P+PE CBC power connectors(hereinafter referred to as electrical connectors) with 400V DC rated voltage and 20 A rated current.
Connectors according to this document are connectors with breaking capacity (CBC) according to IEC
61984, which are applicable for hot pluggable power conduction with a rated voltage up to and including 400 V DC or 380 V AC and rated current of 20 A, in the field of electrical and electronic equipment.

Purpose

a)This proposal will be not only an effective supplement to IEC power connector standard system for the arc extinguishing function and hot-plugging connectors, but also provide clear guidance for the design, testing, interface size standardization, and actual use of the connectors. b) By application of this specification, product structure and dimensions can be unified to guarantee intermating and universality so as to avoid waste and reduce cost; product performance characteristics and test methods can be unified to ensure product quality and reliability in the market; product types can be reduced for convenient selection to promote global application.
