Scope

A publicly available specification to provide general requirements and guidelines for the validation of computational models for loads and power performance as used within the wind industry.

Purpose

Project Team -60 validation of computational models was approved by TC 88 on 15-Dec-2023 and has since then had two meetings.

At its second meeting PT 60 agreed that it would aim to follow the document structure as started under the Joint Working Forum (JWF) on Model Validation between experts from the IECRE CA System and TC88.

This means that we aim to start with two documents:

IEC 61400-60 : Generic framework for validation of computational models

IEC 61400-60-1 : Validation of computations models for loads and power performance
