This clause of Part 1 is replaced by the following. This International Standard deals with the safety of appliances for pets cleaning, drying, feeding and similar care functions, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V.
The industries related to pets are developing quickly. More and more pet's hospitals, pet's saloons and electrical appliances for pets are on the current market. Pet drying boxes, pet's food dispensers and similar appliances are more and more popular in pet's saloons and houses,bring customer a great deal ofconvenience. However, accidents of human beings user and pets occurred. For example pets bite the supply cord. There is no existing IEC standard covering safety of pets care appliances. It is necessary to develop a new part 2 standard to meet the requirement of market and customer.
