Scope

This part of IEC 61557-12 specifies functional type tests for Power metering and monitoring devices (PMD) compliant to IEC 61557-12. This document does not cover safety tests, EMC tests, climatic test and mechanical tests covered by IEC 61557-12.

Purpose

To facilitate the use of IEC 61557-12, it is decided by the committee to develop two new parts. IEC 61557-12-1 will cover DC application and this IEC 61557-12-2 will cover functional tests related to functions defined in IEC 61557-12.
