This document provides statistical summaries of anthropometric data (body dimensions and physical strength) of children in Europe considering different age groups.
The objective of the project is to publish the anthropometric data of children resulting from the EU funded project on anthropometric and strength data of children in order to make them available to the relevant stakeholders. The technical report will include statistical tables of anthropometric dimensions and strengths of the European population of children considering different age ranges. Availability of correct and up-to-date anthropometric data is essential to define appropriate (safety) requirements such as probes, openings, loads, accessibility etc. in order to avoid/reduce entrapment, strangulation risks etc. The technical report will therefore in particular also be of high relevance for standardization committees. Note: in case the WI is based on documents from other organizations than ISO/IEC, please specify it here
