Scope

The scope is harmonized definitions for terms relating to smart and digital systems, such as information technology and operational technology, smart manufacturing, smart cities, internet of things, immersive technology, intelligent controls, and systems.

Purpose

As part of IEC 60050, this is a horizontal standard. The purpose is to define terms suitable for general use in many areas of smart and digital systems.
