This document will specify methods for the determination of the uniaxial compressive strength and deformability.
This document is applicable to the laboratory determination of the uniaxial compressive strength and deformability of rock samples.
This document is part of the laboratory tests defined in the ISO 16 383 series.
There is no EN or EN/ISO standards for rock mechanics laboratory tests. The Eurocode 7 – part II needs EN or EN/ISO standards that can be referred to for rock engineering designs.
In accordance with the decision from TC 250/SC7/WG1/TG3, this standard is considered as a priority for the Eurocode 7 and the design in rock engineering.
The storage in electronic format will permit the use of the data for AI or deep learning. For this storage refer to ISO 14690 (Work in progress).
