This document is applicable to XSBR latex intended for use in paper coating.
Carboxylic-styrene-butadiene rubber(XSBR) latex is the main type of synthetic rubber latices, which is widely used in high-speed coating application in the paper industry. With the development of the XSBR latex, good stability of the latex is needed for the market.
Coagulum content directly reflects the stability of XSBR latex product and affects the smoothness and glossiness properties of the paper. Therefore coagulum content is an important quality parameter for XSBR latex.
In order to promote the quality control of XSBR latex and meet the need of the market, it is necessary to develop this document for the determination of the coagulum content of XSBR latex. This was accepted in 2023 Bangkok meeting.
