TC106X/Sec0719/DV - NWIP - ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS IN THE HUMAN ENVIRONMENT

Scope

This product standard applies to wireless communication devices used in close proximity to the human ear (e.g. mobile phones, wireless headsets). The applicable frequency range is from 10 GHZ to 300 GHz.

The objective of this standard is to demonstrate the compliance of such devices with the basic restrictions and exposure limit values related to human exposure to radio frequency electromagnetic fields by using computational methods.

Purpose

The 5G NR communication systems have extended the transmission frequency range to above 10 GHz frequencies. In the frequency range 10 GHz to 300 GHz the basic restrictions and exposure limit values related to human exposure to radio frequency electromagnetic fields are expressed in terms of power density. The purpose of the project is to prepare product standard for wireless communication devices used in close proximity to the human ear, at frequency range of 10 GHz to 300 GHz, by using computational methods.
