This European Standard advises on the safe use of ladders covered by the scope of EN 131 1 and fulfilling the requirements of EN 131 1, EN 131 2 and, for single or multiple hingedjoint ladders, EN 131 4, for telescopic ladders EN 131 6 and for mobile platform ladders EN 131 7.
The comments received during the systematic review of EN 1313:2018 will be considered. In order to avoid overlappings with product standards it has been agreed earlier that EN 1313 should in future only specify general requirements for user information and marking whereas specific requirements should be specified in the individual product standards. The provisions in the GPSR on how to provide the user instructions will be considered and circular economy and recycling aspects should be addressed.
