PNW 25-779 ED1 Quantities and units - Part 15: Logarithmic quantities and their units

Scope

This Part of ISO/IEC 80000 specifies general information about logarithmic representation of quantities, in short, logaithmic quantities.

Names and symbols for logarithmic quantities are given in other parts of ISO/IEC 80000, mainly in IEC 80000-13 and ISO 80000-8, in the context where they belong.

Purpose

Quantities and units in logarithmic and related quantities find various applications in those sectors where correct knowledge of the subject is required. They represent an irreplaceable technical material for those who need:
