Scope

This document specifies the measuring of parameters needed to calculate arc energies for arc welding processes.

Purpose

Transfer ISO/TR 18491 into an International standard (ISO 18491), see following SC 10 resolution taken on 2023-11-08.

Draft Resolution 23/2023

The members of SC 10 present, agree with Working Group 12 Recommendation 3/2023 to revise ISO/TR 18491:2015, Welding and allied processes — Guidelines for measurement of welding energies as ISO Standard. The participants agree to launch a 12-week NP ballot with the following parameters. Project leader: Johan Toftling (Sweden). Responsible: Working Group 12.

Unanimously approved.
