This European Standard specifies the minimum requirements for the material, design, construction, workmanship, equipping, inspection and testing at manufacture of transportable, refillable welded steel pressure drums of volumes over 150 l up to and including 1 000 l for Liquefied Petroleum Gases (LPG).
Vertical and horizontal cylindrical receptacles are covered.
Considering the need for PRV requirements for Drums, considering that CEN/CT 286 does not currently address PRV requirements for Drums, considering the possible location for this requirement, EN 14129, EN 14893, EN 13953, EN 14570, considering discussion had at 37th Plenary meeting, considering WG7, WG 2, WG 1 recommendation, Decision 07/2021 was taken by the technical committee at the 37th Plenary to revise EN 14893:2014 for the inclusion of a new informative annex on the sizing of the relief valves for pressure drums.
