Scope

This document specifies the requirements and describes test methods for check valves for water mist systems. Check valves allow the passage in the direction of flow and they prevent flow in the reverse direction.

This document is applicable to check valves installed in the pipework of water mist firefighting systems.

Purpose

There is a need to set up minimum test requirements to properly evaluate water mist systems to be installed.
