Standards Development
The main scope of this standard is the technical requirements for offshore steam injection boilers and auxiliary systems, mainly including the boiler body, boiler body auxiliary equipment such as boiler feed pump, boiler feed preheater, blower, dilatation, boiler safety protection system, etc. The boiler auxiliary equipment includes the technical requirements for boiler water treatment equipment, relevant offshore platform layout, piping, etc.
The purpose of this document is specified as follows:
• Heavy oil has not been developed on a large scale in the world. It is a challenging but promising prospect of oil and gas supply.
• Different from onshore oil and gas field development, offshore scenario faces limited space and ulitility resources, high risk and high cost.
• A simple, efficient and safe processing process, reliable and compact thermal recovery equipment is used for China's offshore heavy oil development, with15 years of research and practice.
• Engineering practices have been widely achieved in China since 2016.
• This document can help establish the principles and methods to be followed by the design and equipment of offshore heavy oil thermal recovery engineering, provide technical basis for global offshore thermal recovery projects, cope with the continuous shortage of oil and gas resource supply and meet the rapid development of the global oil and gas exploration and development.
