Find out what cookies we use and how to disable themThe Standard specifies the test methods that shall be used to verify that the conception and performance of theatrical pyrotechnic articles comply with the requirements of Part 3 and their labelling and user instructions comply with the requirements of Part 4.
The proposed standard is part of a series of standards applicable to theatrical pyrotechnic articles. The development of such series was discussed and accepted at the plenary meeting of ISO/TC 264 on 2020-09-15. Considering the existing and foreseeable international market for theatrical pyrotechnic articles, it was considered that it would be useful for quality and safety purposes to make use of international standards for such articles as it has already been done for consumer and professional fireworks. The development of the proposed series of standards will create an international reference for the placing on the market of articles that will comply with the same construction and performance requirements and the will set up a trustable basis for fair competition between manufacturers and importers.
The other parts of the proposed series of standards deal respectively with terminology (part 1), categorization (part 2), requirements (part 3) and minimum labelling requirements (part 4).
