Scope

Requirements to set a quality level for garments dependent on their intended use with the aim to keep them in the use phase as long as possible, covering the reuse, repair and refurbish. This includes trims and fabrics to produce garments. Excluded from the scope are accessories such as scarfs, gloves, hats etc.

Purpose

The CEN/TS developed within CEN/TC 248/WG 39 will support the circular economy, prevent green washing and support the sustainable textiles policy, ESPR, Circular Economy Action Plan and EPR.
