PNW 34A-2379 ED1: Fully Flexible Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) Panels for General Lighting ? Performance Requirements

Scope

This document specifies the performance requirements of fully flexible organic light emitting diode (OLED) tiles and panels for use on supplies up to 120 V ripple free DC for indoor and similar general lighting purposes and designed for being bent during the manufacturing process of curved luminaires.

The requirements of this document relate only to type testing.

Purpose

There is a strong market request (need) for solid-state lighting solution for example LED and OLED lighting. The emergence of fully flexible light sources OLEDs is expected. One of the unique features of the OLED for lighting is its fully flexibility (bendability).

In order to ensure the safety and performance of the light source in its bended condition, the information about them is important.
