Standards Development
This part of ISO 17748 provides the data platform functions to identify connectivity among nomadic device, smart city cloud server and mobility service provider during use cases services, which are defined in ISO 17748-1. In addition, it also delivers related guidelines required to develop and operate the data platform among nomadic device and smart city cloud, mobility with intelligent transport systems (ITS) technologies.
The data platform will aim to accommodate the specific needs of Energy based green ITS service for smart city’s energy total capacity. The data platform would focus on the use of data exchange functional requirement standards between eco-mobility and nomadic device to enable the development of cloud-based ITS using wireless networks.
This document defines the service framework and guidelines:
a) The role model of data platforms on nomadic & mobile devices for energy based green ITS services
b) The functional requirements for data platform of the energy based green ITS services on nomadic & mobile devices
Eco-friendly mobility services have been deployed around the world due to rising urban energy problems caused by population growth, rapid climate change, and increased carbon emissions. These mobility services intend to increase energy efficiency. But there are no traffic-energy-related guidelines to fulfill various demands for service management. In this environment, Smart City deals with technologies related to managing energy efficiency for urban traffic energy problems. These technologies are based on data platforms that handle transport electric energy measuring and demand forecasting. Data platforms provide green ITS services that seek to improve energy efficiency using nomadic devices and monitoring energy supply and demand.
This standard defines the functional requirements for data platform of the energy based green ITS service that is providing smart city transportation management and applications. These requirements seek to suggest the way of urban transportation energy saving and its efficient management through monitoring electric vehicle charging energy consumption and managing the total amount of available electric energy.
