Draft DEC 158 Adoption of NWIP CEN ISO TR 41030 Facility management — Existing performance management in facility management organizations — State of the industry

Scope

The TR will establish the FM Performance Management ­ Measurement and Improvement Framework, Identifying the requirements that will collectively constitute Performance Measures and Improvement strategies for Facilities Management organizations across the spectrum of Demand Organizations. Each work item within the Framework will similarly offer an opportunity to advance the approved work outputs.

The TR is intended to provide a robust understanding of existing performance measures and the needs of both the:

• Demand Organization and

• FM organization across the breadth of public and private sector organizations, profit and ‘not for profit’ with FM needs.

Purpose

ISO/TC 267 Facility Management is developing a new ISO TR 41030 in the ISO 41000­series. It has reached Comittee Draft (CD) stage and the title is: ­

ISO CD TR 41030 Facility management — Existing performance management in facility management organizations — State of the industry

Justification for CEN/TC 348 adoption of this work item under the Vienna Agreement:

1. According to CEN/TC 348 DECISION 107 taken at the CEN/TC 348 Plenary meeting 2019­01­31, CEN/TC 348 recognizes the value in creating new standards in close cooperation with ISO/TC 267 under the Vienna Agreement. It asks the secretariat to send all approved new work items on ISO/TC 267 automatically on vote in CEN/TC 348.

2. ISO TR 41030 will be a useful document as a baseline for the upcoming FM­standards about performance

3. ISO TR 41030 will facilitate the understanding of future prEN ISO 41020 on performance measurement

4. ISO TR 41030 will support the content in the EN ISO 41000­series and EN 15221­series of FM standards
